Your name was drawn out of a hat by my lovely assistant (husband). Congrats! I’ll be emailing you with details.
I’ve been following Alexander Wang’s rise in prominence for a few years now, noting his influence especially in street fashion. He continually innovates, and doesn’t get bogged down in any one sensibility, as his spring line showed. His gritty, mostly dark body of work was taken over by khaki, whites, and greys. If I try and describe his Spring 2010 any more, I’m going to use the word “sporty”, and I don’t want to do that. It’s just pretty cool, you should check it out.
Anyway, Alexander Wang’s style lends itself to a strong street aesthetic. It’s cool, laid-back, yet innovative and luxurious. For the futuristic tomboy in all of us.
This fall, turn into a sexy, gothic power broker (who doesn’t want that?) with Wang’s tweeds, knits, and, yes, velvet. Someone get this vest. Actually, that whole outfit is pretty tweed-tastic.
For THE essential t-shirt and other well-priced and quality basics, it’s T by Alexander Wang for you.
And to get you through the last month (or so) of summer, check out Shopbop’s Alexander Wang sale and pick up some of that fresh sporty spring line.

Phew. This has been a looong time coming. I hope you like the sparkly new site. Let me know if anything is super buggy or annoying. Some new, wholly unoriginal features to the blog are a “like” button at the bottom of every post and The Minneapoline of the Month. There’s a little explanation over to the right. I’m excited to start getting photos!
And stay tuned for a chance to win a $100 Shopbop.com gift card. I’ll be posting the necessary info tomorrow.
And, anyone else having trouble with the comments linking to the wrong comments sections?
Call me a safe, restrained midwesterner; but I love a combination of grays, browns, and dusty pastels.
She bought this necklace in London, and I can’t remember the brand, I wish I could…
Omigosh, where have I been? I don’t even know, but I’m back now. 2010 is really, truly going to be a kick-ass year. Seriously, guys.keep looking »
